Non-payment occurs when a resident unable to afford to pay for the insurance, a resident sees their insurance policy as a nuisance or unnecessary expense, or they simply forgot.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">The decision to intentionally cancel a policy constitutes a moral hazard. <\/span><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">Moral hazard occurs when one party in a transaction has the opportunity to assume additional risks that negatively affect the other party<\/span><span class=\"S1PPyQ\">.
